Default LSA heads and Nitrous

Hey guys i'm new to the LS world and I'm currently building my first N2O LS motor it's going to be a 403ci LS2 block with around 12 to 1 comp. my question is should i get the swirl fin in the intake runner machined out since this will not be a forced induction deal. and who could do a decent port job on these around NC, SC or VA. thanks.

I appreciate it but, i sought out the LSA heads for their thicker decks as oppose to the thinner L92 castings are prone to lifting. i was just wondering if the fin would effect my nitrous tune because i will be spraying a pretty big shot on these for the heads up class i am running.

Some GM techs told me about this. That being said to reinforce the passages you must make the casting thicker beause they are casted in. Which leads to thicker decks.

I thought that the core plugs were removed from the end of the heads. You can look at the cross section of LS6 (Green) and an LS9 (Red) and see the deck thickness. What you cant see is the .0001" thicker deck on the LS9. That is 30 times smaller than the average diameter of a human hair; but it is still thicker!

My l92's never lifted at nearly 1k hp. There was even a nitrous misfire and they didnt lift.

Yeah i was dead set on L-92s at first but then I was told of the LSA heads with the same port design and the better material so the even if the decks are on a minute amount thicker then that's better. But with that being said i think the L-92s can take more power than most think.

Detonation is what usually lifts a head not sheer power.
