Default L92 CAM and other info to get to 540-560 hp

What is the most power I can get with a stock 08 escalade L92 adding a cam with stainless works 1 7/8" headers. Also what cam would work best? 3200# car, track/street car. Looking for high end power I like to keep revs up around a track. If I stroke with cam what kit? And what kind of power can I expect. I saw a thread stating over 500 hp from cam alone with l92, but called texas and was told only 50 over stock which would be 453. And stroker kit only 50 more. So 503 with stroker and cam.

I am running the cam in my sig (Livernois Stage III, I think) and make the power noted to the rear wheels. My engine is a stroked LS2 with L92 heads and L76 intake. I am also running Kooks headers and x-pipe.The heads have a little clean-up and I think the chambers are 64cc.

I was running a more symmetrical cam with smaller LSA (112) and made more topend power but reversion made driveability at the lower rpms a real PITA. Do a search on my posts and you should come across my dyno with both cams.

I have zero idea what these guys are talking about. LS3 cam only swap regularly put 500+ at the wheels over at corvetteforum. LS3's and L92's share the exact same rotating assembly and heads aside from two things; L92 valves are heavier ( big whoopy ) and L92's have notched pistons to make a little more room for the VVT movement. Otherwise they are identical and share all the same go fast parts.

So how is it that LS3's with cam swaps make insanely high power yet L92's only make 450? Granted the L92 intake is a weakeer performing item so ditch that for an LS3 intake and your set.

I'd call someone else for your cam. Try Patrick G on here he'll custom spec one for ya for cheap and tell him your goals and he'll get you there. Just be sure to tell him your final hp goal and be as clear as possible about your whole build in his request sheet.

VVT cams are a whole different ballpark than regular cams...But there are companies that sell VVT compatible cams...Or you can ditch all of the VVT stuff which is also expensive....

Its not too bad. Thunder racing sells a complete kit to convert a VVT engine over to a non VVT set up. Runs 700 bucks iirc

You won't reach your goal with a composite manifold. Look to a carb manifold with a carb TB - not an elbow and cam'd properly you should get there.

? 550 at the wheels fine agreed. But 550 at the crank is doable with a stock fuely set up

@WKMCD - What manifold would you recommend for such an application? I'm just curious.

I'm doing a GMPP Intake and Holley 780 or Demon 750/850. SW Headers, Valve springs and retainers, perhaps manley, and having Patrick G design a cam for me. Ditching VVT and using front cover from LS3, pretty sure thats the only part I need to swap to get rid of VVT with Cam. Using MSD 6LS controller
