It uses an 8 Bolt Flywheel so be sure to source that if you go that route

I'd say FAST 102 / 102 TB

As for the Cam, you might want to read the warranty info as it mentions Modifying !
I bet changing the Cam will Void the Warranty .....

Wouldnt you be able to build the 441 or 434 cheaper? Unless money isnt a factor.

I don't know if you can build one cheaper..................around 9000.00
and change for this LSX 454.......there are some mighty fine parts in there.

https://ls1tech.com/forums/parts-cla...tblock-fs.html

I was looking hard at the lsx454. Can't beat it for the price, forged internals, ready to bolt in with a waranty. I look at it this way 620 horse out of the box and upgradable.

It's a great deal if it fits your needs. They should offer it with both reluctor wheels and six or eight bolt crankshafts.

I think its a good deal, but I wouldn't mind trying to build a 427ci LS with an LSX block with six bolt LSX heads for less and still get a bit more than 620hp.

I am currently in the process of building a lsx 427 and believe me it is not less to do. The things that kill you are the bolts, covers, gaskets, machine work. If your going to build it from the ground up with upgraded parts such as ported heads and arp bolts and things like that then you will blow right past the cost of the lsx454. It is a great buy for what you get.

Good platform to start with. LSX block. 6 bolt LSXLS7 heads. 620 certified horsepower. Warranty that GM will stand behind. This engine is made ready to go. We could prob put together a package that was close to this in output and final trim, but it would not have the GMPP warranty. That is the biggest selling point of this engine.

I have sold a few recently and helped source an 8 bolt flexplate and flywheel for a few. They are not hard to get but they are a little more pricey.

The LSA CTS-V engine also uses a 8 bolt crankshaft.

I used the stock CTS-V flex plate in my 2010 Camaro.

I installed the GMPP LSA Crate engine with a tricked out 4L80E. It was stick with the LS3.
I will probably stick the 6 speed back in the car as it's gettin boring with the auto.
I ran a 10.96 at Milan on Saturday then an 10.93 at Byron on Sunday. 1.62 to 1.63 60' on radials
