Default Cam for LS7

I'm going to be switching cams and want to know if my old cam (244/249 .644/.644 112) would work on a C6 Z06????????

Sure it'll "work", but it's not a good LS7 cam imo. The LS7 needs more split. Even the narrowest splits on good LS7 cams run 8 degrees, and 16 to 20 is more typical. 24 is not unusual. For example, the LPE GT-21 is proven to be a very good LS7 cam and it has 243 on the intake, like yours...and 259 on the exhaust. Another well-proven cam in the same ballpark is the Ragin Racin Striker, at 243/257.

Then again there's the 247/247 zero split that won the engine masters challenge with a small bore LS7. I'm only specing 6 degrees split in my LS7. Just be sure to check the cam advance and DCR, these LS7s will take CRAZY compression on just 93 octane! We're talking DCR >9.05!!!
