what pushrod length!?!? are the lifters fine?
hey guys , i have the comp 875-16 adjustable with 7.4 pushrods on my 09 denali.. the shop that installed it havent adjusted the lifters.. and when i asked then they said they never adjusted anything.. just bolt it right on -.-.. so im considering getting the LS7 lifters would they be fine with the 7.4 pushrods?? i also asked if they have a pushrods length checker.. no was the answer >.< anyways.. i drove it with the comp 875-16 and the 7.4 pushrods for about 5000 miles now.. do u guys think any damage has been caused.. the only problem i saw from the engine was a slight drop in oil pressure after 6000+ rpm.. there is ticking it however i find it normal it does that when i cruise i could here a light ticking sound..

I bet you have too much preload on those lifters? Need to get a pushrod checker and check your preload. Are the the "R" lifters? if so, they dont like
much preload. I would first check my preload and try proper pushrod length first, and see if noise goes away? easist and cheapest way to correct and see if it fixes your concern? I have found from my own experience that if you have too much preload engine seems to be in a bind and will not rev easy and you find valve bounce in 6000 rpm ranges. And yes valvetrain was noisey
ticking and so with to much lifter preload.
