Default Good price on an LY6

Hey guys, please don't flame as I've searched and can't find any consensus. Some people have said they've gotten a 10k mile LY6 for $2500, others for $1400.
Is there a general consensus about what's considered a good price for these, or at least a good ballpark?

Any ideas would be a great help, because I don't know where to begin to bargain.

So the real question is, for a complete LY6 (assume between 10 and 40k miles) pullout including ECU, harness, all acc., what's a good price?

thanks
Jim

I found my 30K LY6 engine for $1400. I've seen them at $1200 but with something like 70K. I typically see them run $1600-$2500 with milage ranging from 2K-40K

FWIW- I paid $50 extra each for the starter, ECM, harness. But they butchered the harness beyond use.

Thanks Jimbo. Yeah that's pretty much the range I've seen and I can't get a good bearing about whether $1700 for a 30k LY6 with absolutely everything except the harness is a good deal or not.

the feedback is appreciated

whats " absolutely everything " ? I would say thats a good deal. if its starter, ECM and engine. If it includes FEAD (front end accessary drive) too. then jump on it soon.

pan to intake, coil packs, alternator, power steering pump, ac compressor, starter, flywheel, ECM is absolutely everything. I just need to find out where to get a wiring harness. Don't really feel like spending 1500 on a MAST setup.

Yeah you don't need to spend $1500 on a mast setup. I got my whole setup from pan to intake including harness and ECM for $2140 out the door with a motor that had 8k miles on it. IMO, only use MAST if you've got a specific reason to or if you find a specific feature on the MAST ECU that can't be had anywhere else... the e38 ECU will do most everything anyone needs.

mast motor sports i think..i dont kno if they come with anything... there rated at 435 hp..100% bone stock just a tune.. im thinking bout selling mine..complete with modified harness ..with everything from intake to pan.. ls3 intake..with harness and ecm that is flashed and vats deleted..its running in my chevelle now.all u would need is ur own fuel system.and id get a tuner to tune it. i was thinking of selling everything for $3200.. no looking for parts...it might sound kinda high.. less than 100 miles on motor.i dont kno if im going to sell it just yet.
