Default Ls1 to ls2 swap f body

So I have a 120000 miles on my 2002 Ss and boom rod through the block so I was thinking of finding a ls2 and going .005 over and getting a 402 or 416 k1 weisco rotating assembly. But if I can't just swap over my heads cam and intake cause it will be choking the motor correct? What do you guys think I should do on kind of a budgit? I really wanted 500 to the wheels. I think I'm in a pipe dream haha

i see that your car is an 02 so u do have a ls6 intake which is better but not that good if u are planning a 402 or 416 build. Y skip to those when 370 are making good numbers. Those stock heads(even ported) an ls6 intake would still be a bottleneck on any stroker.

When u say budget, what kind of budget are u taking????????????

I work at a machaine shop so i can get some good prices on parts. I was thinking of the 402 416 because Im going to need a block, crank, rod, pistons and why not stroke it. Im also thinking im going to need to rebuild the trans, new clutch, rear end goodies with new axles and fuel system. I was hoping to keep it under 10k. I will be doing all the work with my dad who has built two 1st gen camaros one with a ls7 w/ katech cam and other with a FAST EFI small block(427). im trying to find a bare ls2 that I can hone .005 but thats harder then i though. Maybe a k1 crank and rods with some mahle pistons. I read that the ls3 heads work well with the ls2 but im worried about the bore size chocking the valves. Theres just so many options.
