Default ls2 w/ ls3 heads & intake

I have a 2002 SS and blew the motor. Now I want to build a 402 ls2 with stock ls3 heads, intake, injectors and fuel rails. Will this combo work with a ls1 computer and harness besides lengthening the cam sensor wire. I'm going to rebuild the trans and put a monster clutch in it with new slave. What do you guys think? I need opinions!

Thanks,
John

and yes when you order the 402 get a 24tooth reluctor and your good to go. and if you run a ls3 top end you have two options for the injectors, redo the connectors for ls3 or swap out the injector harness all together, either way works. thats about all you have to do. I think you will need to redo the knock sensor as well. other than that all your ls1 accessorys, oil pan will fit.

I'm building a very similar motor for my IROC currently. The only difference is that I started with an iron block. I bought the Compstar rotating assembly from Texas Speed, bought new LS3 heads, bought an LS3 intake with fuel rails & injectors. I'm currently mulling over what cam to choose, which seems like a topic of endless debate.

Yeah I was wondering the same thing. I was going to call up comp cams. Im going with the wiseco K1 rods(arp 2000 bolts) and crank with some mahle pistons since I don't need the badass wiseco's haha. What's up with the stock injectors? Will they support the fuel need? Its going to be a daily driver.

What do you do for a MAP sensor? I have an LS2 from a Trailblazer SS and put LS3 heads/intake on it, but haven't figured out what to do for the MAP sensor. I read that the LS2 one doesnt fit the LS3 intake.

I bought a stock ls1 map sensor. People have said that rtv or a thicker o-ring will work. I shall see!
