Question RHS Pro Elite LS7 heads - Are they any good?

I am set up to use L92 heads and was going to go to Rich @ WCCH for a Stg 3 work over, but now I'm looking into possibly going with LS7 heads and having Rich work them. These will be for a 455 stroker so I know the LS7 heads will out preform, but it's about budget.

Anyways, I found a shop selling RHS Pro Elite LS7 heads for $607 (cheaper than RHS's site). Are these good heads? I did a search but only found old threads - one saying that they are ET heads and another saying that they are DART heads.

I am also looking at the LSX LS7 heads, but they are $170 more than the RHS. Are these a better head over the RHS - in other words, is the $170 increase in price justifiable?

BTW, I am talking bare heads since I'm having Rich work them over.

Talk to Richard about the Brodix LS7 heads. I'm probably going to go that way this winter.

What's up Bro!

I've tried to find info and pricing on these, but found nothing. How much do these run bare? These RHS are 11* heads so better PTV from what I read, what are the Brodix?

Default LS7 Heads

They are called the BR7 castings. Brodix has them on thier site. They are available bare or complete. WCCH already has a CNC program for them. I will be buying a set shortly for my 428. Beefy castings, good for boosted applications as well as NA.

Damn! They're going for $1K each!!?? The only place I found on google when searching 1170000 Brodix was Summit. A little rich for my budget right now, especially when there are other GOOD options. They look SICK and the details are AWESOME, but way too much for me right now.

From my conversation with RHS, they have not been released yet and TD Rockers is doing the shaft mount setup for them.

Hmmm... I thought these were available; I need to contact the shop that said they had them. So these will not accept OEM LS7 rockers and stands?

Shaft mount only with the RHS, if you want to use OEM rockers, Brodix is another way to go, burly tough castings, 400 cfm potential.

If you want to use the stock valve train, PRC also has a very nice LS7 casting. Ported it flows 400+ cfm.

Which valves are you using? I take it that 440 RPMs so are you using the hollow stem ones or TI ones? Can they be bought ported only and i use my hardware? How long to despatch?

cheers
