Default Ditch Maggie and go H/C?

I currently have an LS2 with older patriot 5.3 heads, Speed Inc SI5 cam 231/237 589/595 and a Maggie 112 with 90mm snout and FAST 90MM TB.

I am wondering if it is worth keeping the maggie on the car or should i go with a bigger set of heads and cam?

Realistically im guessing i should make somewhere around 500-550whp, maybe more and i see guys making around 500whp with a nice set of heads and bigger cam. And see good numbers with l92/l76 setups.

Any info would be appreciated, The engine is in a 71 Vega, 6-speed. I plan on doing alot of drag racing but will be street driving the car as well.

I'm not sure what the goal is here.

I'd sell the maggie for a centrifugal blower and easily eclipse 600rwhp.

A max effort heads/cam LS2 will see 515-525rwhp through a 6 speed.

What the lsa on the cam, 114, 115? You want a wider lsa to minimize boost bleed off.

A H/C/I car may hit close to the same rwhp that a maggie car does but never the rwtq that a maggie does. At least I have never seen one on 11:1CR.

My 2006 GTO stock LS2 M6 with Kooks 1 7/8" LT's with 3" spintech stainless steel exhaust, chrome Maggie TVS 2300 running 8 1/2 lbs put down 540/550 to the tire.

Why not just change the pulley and add more boost.

If you're bracket racing for points and want 500 RWHP, I'd sell the maggie and get a good set of heads. It's easier to be consistent NA than with a maggie.

If you're just into TNT and having fun, I'd leave the car alone or pulley down if you want more power.

I'm glad you got the chrome one. There's no way you could have put down those numbers with a plain finish.

Why not keep the Maggie and add H/C - best of both worlds.
