Default Double taper pushrods/L92 heads Q?

I haven't been able to find this info by searching.

Question is regarding an L92 headed/LS2. Heads are milled .030", .040" gaskets, stock untouched shortblock.

I have found information stating that straight 3/8" pushrods will work with slight clearancing to the cylinder head.

I have not been able to find an answer pertaining to the fitment of a 7/16" to 3/8" double taper pushrod though. Will this fit with similar clearancing or does it not slim down quickly enough? I'm aware this is most likely overkill for my setup.

I just tore my engine down, and by the look of it a 7/16 won't fit, jmo. I'm sure if you did some heavy clearencing you "could" get them in.

You'll bend the rocker studs before you'll bend a 3/8 pushrod. 7/16 seems overkill

I'm not worried about "bending" a 3/8" pushrod. A larger/thicker wall pushrod is stiffer and will deflect less; increasing stability and valve lift. Thanks for the replies

Contact the PR manufacture.

Manton has options avalible with thick wall 11/32 tube. They fit without grinding.

Thanks Tim, Manton is actually where I was looking. That is probably what I'll end up going with.
