Default Slave cylinder problem

On my old slave cylinder on my 05 vette the ruber line some how all of ths suddin started hitting my header and caused it to burn a hold in it. So I went threw all the work and replaced the slave cylinder and made sure that the line was up and away from the header and took it for a drive and it slid down and hit the header again and melted. Is there any way that this ruber line can be replaced with a steal braded line or is there a way to replace that line instead of going back threw all the work and buying another new slace cylinder?
