Default Someone burry the hatchet.....DOD vs VVT oil pumps!!

Lol "BURRY the hatchet" anyhow I've spent some time searching and asking around about which oil pump is better as a replacement. I cannot get a straight answer!! So which pump is high volume? DOD or VVT? Is one high pressure? I'm buying a new pump this week and want a higher volume pump for my 402.

If I were you bud, why mess around and get a melling? It will just drop right in. Unless you don't like them that's another story.

I have a melling m295 pump that came with the motor. I was told the melling pumps had a problem with the gear scoring the inside of the pump.

We always use a stock pump 04 Vette and port/shim .100" the pumps. Never had a problem with them with some going 80k + miles on strokers.

^^^ this right here has work sucessfully for years . I don't see the point in trying to re-invent the wheel here.

I was clearly looking for the GM pump that is higher volume. Its not re-invetion but rather sorting out the facts.

From what ive gathered the lsa pump is the higher volume GM pump.
