segmented cam gear on half moon gear car

Default segmented cam gear on half moon gear car

can i put a segmented cam gear on a car that came with a half moon cam gear? can i get it tuned to work?

Would like to know as well. I just went from the ls3 dod cam to an ls2 cam and chain and throwing the same code. Would like to know if this can be tuned as well

If you have a 58X reluctor, you have to use the 4X cam gear. If you have the a 24X reluctor, you have to have the 1X cam gear. No other choice.

No, it's hard coded, can't change it...the reluctors have to match...as he said above me, 58-4 or 24-1. The Lingenfelter converter box requires both to be able to convert...it can't fix just the cam signal.

thanks for the input... i took the motor out swapped the cam gear with a half moon double roller and all is good now
