I have read a couple of things that make me question the shape of the intake and exhaust ports of the head. One source told me a 4" bore with a tall rectangluar port and another source says a tall cathedral. Which one is it? And what is compatible with the current?

ALL LSX motors have "D" port exhaust ports. The G8 uses a Rectangular port intake runner. (LS3,L92) The G8 is an L76 Motor.
