Default oil pressure question

Hi-brand new LS3 STROKED 418 CI FORGED INTERNALS,noticed oil pressure dropped from 60 to 40 today after i hammered the go pedal-any reason why? No noticeable performance change. Hope it's nothing to be concerned about, please chime in.

Oil temp will lower oil pressure.

Mine goes from 70 at idle cold to 30 with 200 degree oil temp.

As long as you are seeing good wot pressure I would not be concerned

Tim Is spot on ....
LS engine oil pressure is real sensitive to temperature and viscosity... especially with
tight HP oil pumps..

Thanks I noticed it does change between 40-60 and sometimes back to 40 when temp is at operating range of 210 degrees for my motor.
