Default 228r question

I have a 2006 silverado 5.3 which is all stock except for exhaust and I just put a 228r 112 cam in it. No tune. It will idle but when taking off it seems real sluggish until like 3500-4000 Rpms it keeps throwing a p0300 random misfire And a p0101 maf code I put new plugs and wires in it and swapped all 8 coil packs from my other truck it didn't help it. Will tuning help?? Any advice will help thanks

HPTuners is fine, but it's only good IF YOU know what to do. If you know...then do it, IF YOU DON'T then find a tuner who does.

That's a pretty good sized cam for a 5.3, so yes you're going to need to tune it.

I would suggest going to a professional tuner, doesn't seem like you really know what you're doing and HPT can take a while to learn and tune a cammed car. You're also going to have to invest some money in a wideband to go with the software, so might as well just have it done by someone that knows what they're doing.
