Default What options do I have for LS3 rockers

Hey guys. I am running a 429 ls3 stroker using the SDPC cncd ls3 heads. My cam has .620 lift with a 1.7 ratio rocker. I would like a roller tip 1.8 rocker if possible. I do road race the car. I run the engine up to 7000rpm. The car is a 2600lbs RX7.

What are your thoughts and experience.

I like the new comp ultra pros. But it seems like they will never be in production.

Thanks,
Ryan

Experience has proven that Yella Terras operate the best in your application.

Design the cam for the rockers being used. puting a 1.8 rocker on a cam designed for 1.7 is not the prefered way.

Stock rockers with a trunion will do what you are asking

Road racing, I would look for a full roller. Of course tim is right sticking with the 1.7 ratio.

However you will need a very good rocker to have good balance. The cheaper rockers (less than 1k) seem to have some issues with excessive nose weight causing instability and failures.

I have stock rockers with the comp trunion upgrade right now. I am just curious if the none roller tip causes crazy heat and side load on the valve. The engine does see a lot of rpms. I just want to make sure I have a very reliable setup.

On a side note, how are you liking your SDPC heads? They're my number one choice right now just wondering what your experience is with them.
