Default which 6.0???

Sorry to ask such a newbie question, but I am confused on which 6.0 I should look for. Am I correct that the ly6 has l92 heads but vvt? Also, is this the newest of the 6.0 and what vehicle can I find it in (hoping to find a very low mileage take out)? And last but not least, do any of the 6.0s come mated to the 4l70e other than the LS2? Thanks in advance for any advice on this.

Cars and the trailblazer SS get the aluminum block 6.9. all other trucks/suv's get the iron block 6.0 and most have AFM/VVT

Not really true trucks got AL 6.0's as well.

The L76 in the trucks was a 6.0L AL block with L92 heads/intake VVT and AFM. Used in the Vortecmax trucks till 2009 or so. It was mated to the 4l70 2007 and 2008 IIR but later got the 6l80.

The LZ1 is the 6.0L hybrid motor used in the hybrid SUV's and truck VVT/AFM as well. Its an AL block as well.

The LY6 was used in the HD's truck and vans and is iron block lower compression ratio vs the other 6.0's and uses L92 heads/intake and as VVT. It was backed by the 4l80 till later it got the 6l90.

The L96 is the replacement for the LY6 major difference is it has flex fuel option in different apps.
