Stock bottom end with stock chamber chamber 317s? The MS3 will technically work, but keep in mind this is a max effort cam that needs the proper supporting mods to perform to its potential. If you decide to go this route I recommend swapping the large chamber 317s out for a 243/799 casting with a stock 64cc chamber. This will give you a nice bump in compression which the MS3 really responds well to.

yes i believe they are stock 317's. So it will work ok? Im thinking of doing heads as well but kind of thinking boost down the road. I know alot of people say the ms3 is bad for boosted apps but a buddy has the ms3 and it pulls really hard. I wount be running alot of boost till I build the low end anyway. Im just trying to make sure the ms3 would be ok and i wount have any ptv problems.

As long as the cylinder heads are stock unmilled, PTV clearance shouldnt be an issue at all, but we always recommend you check. Better to be safe than sorry no matter what camshaft is being used. I agree the MS3 is not ideal for boost, so if thats the end goal I recommend looking into something different. Basically its going to come down to exactly what your going to do with the car for sure.
