Default Good Street Cam For 402 LS2

To make a long story short i was getting on the highway about a month age and at about 4500rpm the car just shut down, got it home and come to find out i broke the timing chain. Well since i have the heads off im wondering about a cam change. The car pulls pretty good now but i would obviously like more power but i also dont want the down low lugging. My setup is listed below

Current Cam: cc265lr Dur 215/223 .604/.610 on a 112 LSA
Stock ported ls2 heads
Mahle Flat top pistons with valve reliefs
Fast 92

buddy is just runing an off the shelf TSP torquer 2 in his 404. car is an auto with all factory accessories and a smaller stall. still runs 10.7's 1/4 and sounds pretty mild through a full exhaust.

Sorry forgot to mention I have a t56 and the car is a c6. I guess I'm worried about lugging in 6th gear at highway speeds below 2000 rpm

If your looking for something that will drive excellent and yield a little more power for your stroker with LS3 cylinder heads I recommend taking a look into our
231/236, .641/615 camshaft on a 113LSA. This should provide you with great driving characteristics and a nice bump in power over your current combination. If you have any questions or concerns feel free to give us a call we are happy to help.

Sorry i have ported 243's on the car, any idea what kind of power, with the current setup i was able to run a 7.6x @100 and that was short shifting it

I apologize I misread the first post I thought it said ported L92s lol. That changes things a little. With that being said you could step up to our Torquer V3 which is a
231/234, .643/.598 on a 112LSA which will still give you what your looking for drivability wise while still offering a decent bump in power. I would expect in excess of 15rwhp gains by making the cam swap. Keep in mind this is still a very mild grind in a 402 stroker combination.

Do y'all have most your cams on the shelf or is there a wait? And what kind of power band would I be looking at?

Yes we keep plenty of our shelf grinds in stock at all times. If we were to have to get it cut you would only be looking at a couple more days to the process. I would estimate you would have a power band between 2000rpm-6400rpm. Obviously this is just an estimate, but I believe it would be a very fun, street friendly setup for your car.
