9:1 compession N/A 408?
first stage i was gonna complete the longblock with my forged lunti roating assembly and weisco pistons fully ported tfs 215s and port matched ls6 intake and use my old 240-246 620 lift cam
now the compression be between 9.0 and 9.5, i plat on later going a pt 88 and differnt cam and fuel system probably twin 340s but anyway, how doggy would a 9:1 be na I am gueesing low to mid 400's with that cam and the ported ls6 intake im using also later for the boosted setup, please helm me out thanks sorry for bad typing in a rush

I feel like a 408 with 9.0:1 static is gonna feel pretty soft down low. Even with the smaller runner heads its just not going to have the low end kick most people would be expecting from a stroker motor like that. It won't undrivable or anything like that, it just won't feel as strong as many would expect. With your plans I understand why you are doing it though. Turbo stuff is expensive. I would definitely expect less then 430 at the tire with the parts on there.

You dont build for boost and then worry about it being soft without the boost, simple as that. You have a plan and stick to it. Its still 400+ cubic inches Cam it properly and it should be fine

its more the turbo/cam/cubes and cylinder head that determines spool, if u have a big cam u want more comp. sometimes better off with a small cam, good cylinder heads, less comp.. and right size turbo and run more boost. just after tuning a lot of turbo cars over years ..i run even less then 9:1 for pump gas stuff with right cam and turbo they come on boost right away ..the turbo makes the power, not the compression. the engine will be safer with less comp and cop more boost. seen a lot of engines still running 7.5:1 and running 30 psi and have no issues with lifting heads , doing big ends and cracking blocks as it increases the tuning window a lot.
