Default LS2/LS3 topend build - Shortbloack clearence questions

Alright so im assembling my shortblock here tonight, and i have some questions.

Info:
Fresh LS2 Shortblock
Procomp CNC LS3 heads milled to 64cc
Ported LS3 intake and 92MM TB
Ed Curtis Custom grind
Crank was polished and the oil holes chamfered
ARP rod bolts

Bearings and specs
Mains are CLevite 77 bearings, came back with .0019 on all the mains
Rods are Calico coated clevite bearings Ranged from .0018 -.0019

DO this tolerances seem acceptable to you guys? Car will be a weekend toy and occassional street machine. Rev limiter is set @ 6,900.

Thanks in advance

Thw only question I have is why set the rev limiter so high? Without knowig the cam but with experience with the intake, you're going to peak much earlier.

Well i ment that as a mxx rpm. The cam from what i see is large for this application.

23x/24x .63x/63x on a 112+ x

i dont see any need to rev past 6500 most times unless its purpose built.

If that cam is in the 23xº range @.050, and your heads are ported GM castings milled to 64cc, I would be very careful with piston to valve clearance and MEASURE (assuming no flycutting or other valve reliefs in pistons)!

No these are CNC Pro Comps that will be milled .024 to bring me to 64cc from 68cc. I am aware i may have to flycut and will check very carefully when the heads are done. What do you think on that?

Without knowing the valvedrop on those heads before or after milling, I can't say whether or not it would fit. I have never had the chance to check the drop to see how they compare to stock.

not to many places are gonna rent something like that. There are 2 options to buy one, ISKY racing cams piston notcher and a lindsay flycutting tool, obviously both the same thing and about $125 if you wait for a deal.

We used to rent them out and never got them back...so we stopped messing with it. I'd jump on Jeg's and buy them, or maybe post a want to buy thread in the classified section here. Maybe someone has a set collecting dust that they would let go of!

I just talket to E&T company and they sell a badass fly cutter. Roughly $40 per head and $35 per guide rod. Not bad at all imo. They also buy them back for 1/2 price if you get em done in 3 weeks or less.
