Default ARP Rod Bolts

Low mileage LY6.
Considering changing to ARP rod bolts and will be resizing the rods.

Does the rotating assembly need to be re-balanced?

How good is the factory balance anyway?

Comments/feedback.

Thanks,
Mike

I wouldn't worry about the balance. The factory balance is close enough for 250k to 300k miles of usage. Why change the bolts? You adding boost or N20?

It should not make a big enough change in mass that you would need to re-balance the assembly.

That's what I was thinking.
Thank you for everybodies feedback.

Just changing the bolts and resizing for cheap insurance.

I'll be taking the motor apart after New Years and will post some pics.

Car will be a street/strip car so I decided to keep the VVT.
1998 Camaro Hardtop V6 to LY6 conversion.

Can't wait to install the Texas Speed VVT 3 cam I purchased.

Thanks for the feedback.

Like the others said, the weight difference would be so slight there would be no need balance it.
