Aluminum 6.0L with windows above main bores?
Getting ready to build a couple 6.0L's for some pretty decent power and have two different blocks here. One is out of a 2010 hybrid yukon and has solid main webbing, vs a 2007 L76 with windows above mains. To me the window style block looks like junk for a high hp build. Wondering if those windows will become issue in the 1200 RWHP range or if that will be the least of the problems.

The "window style" mains as you put it were first seen on the LS6 block in the Z06 Corvette and the intent was to even out pressures in the crankcase at high RPM. I doubt you'll find the limit of either block on the street.
How many RPMs do you intend to turn?

I will be shifting around 6500 and traps at 7-7200. One is for truck which is only 20% track but gets beat pretty hard on street due to being 4wd. It's a lot faster now than sig, and would like to max out a gt 91'on it every once in awhile. The 2nd will is for my 72Nova. It's going to be raced in a limited street class, around same rpm but less hp than truck. Will be running a 76mm with high compression.
