Default 07 5.3 Cam Suggestions

I currently have an 07 5.3 that I am using for my swap. I am looking at putting a camshaft in it, as well as changing out the valve springs. I just wanted to get some members advice on what I should go with.

The car will not be my primary car. However, I would like for it to have an option to still be driven daily if need be. The engine itself is an 07 5.3 with 706 heads on it. It will have an LS6 intake, stock DBC LS1 throttle body, 30# injectors and 1 3/4 long tube headers. I do not have the exhaust yet but it will probably be around 2.5-3 inches to a couple of magnaflow mufflers. It will also have a T56 transmission behind it. Of course, I would like to have some lope to it as well.

If I am missing any info to to help out let me know. I understand the cams and how they work but just wanted advice from others who have tried certain cams and their power levels.

Thanks in advance

How much power you wanting to make? Doesn't sound like a max effort build, just an enjoyable car so you have tons of options, let us know your goals.

@RTBenny - Your statement is correct. I don't really have any power numbers in mind. The car won't see much track time. It is something just for fun on the streets with seeing the track sometimes.

I want to gain as much safe hp/tq as I can but want to keep the car daily driveable if need be. I will have the car tuned as well.

I have been doing a lot of searching but each person has a bit different of a setup.

Thanks

The car will not necessarily be a DD as I have a primary car right now. However, I would like for it to be a DD if I wanted to take it to work or around town sometimes. So I would have to say that it would be closer to a DD than a weekend warrior.

Thanks

Just stay below 230 on dur and use a reputable guy/shop and your set. Bump CR to danger limit plus margin, pump gas tune, and have fun
