Help with 6.0 lsx build
Hey guys i've decided I want to build my own 6.0 block from the ground up and am relatively new to lsx engines. I could use some help with what route to take as far crank/rods/pistons/cr etc etc. I want to have 500-550whp NA and i'm still somewhat undecisive if I want to turbo it (I work for Cummins so Holset turbo would be cool) or spray it. I know i would have to build accordingly for boost or spray. I would like to buy the 6.0 block for $750 and go from there. What crank/rod/piston setup would be the best bang for the buck? I've heard of people doing stock crank and callies rods and making some good power safely. If i stroked it to a 402 or 408 would there be any additional machine work needed? What heads would be the best bang for the buck? If you guys could point me in the right direction to help me with some ideas i would appreciate it, thanks

Thats why i plan on stroking it to a 402, and I don't plan on it being cheap I just want to spend my money on whats effective for the build. How much was your rotating assembly? Did you go with a steel top ring? Did you have to machine the block any for a bigger stroke or will it go right in?

feel free to come check this shortblock build out if you want.
I paid less than $1000 for my 408 shortblock cause I got it as part of a killer package deal, all brand new parts just unassembled. Block was already bored, cam bearings were installed, block was sonic checked prior to boring as well.
rotating assemblies go for roughly $1800

I'm kinda thinking a turbo ls1 build would be sick. Thats why i need help making a decisive decision. I could have the block gone over buy a forged rotating assembly, increase ring gap and boost it to the moon. I want my car to be jack of all trades. Low 11s high trap at the strip, good on the street, and decent at a roadcourse
