Default What would you build ls3 427 or lq4 427

Hey guys needing some help and wanting some opinions. Currently I have an Ls3 block and L92 Cnc'd heads. I also scored a low mileage complete lq4 motor. I would like to build a 427 using the aluminum block 4.070 bore with 4.100 stroke. Then sale the lq4. Or should I build the iron block. I'm leaning toward the aluminum block because its already going in a heavy 04 Gto. Just wanting some options and past experiences with these combos. I could back of cubic inch and build a 418 with either block. The lq4 is complete so I migh just leave that alone. Someone help lol!

My whole passion in embracing these engines is the aluminum block, so there's my opinion...

I would not go with more than 4" stroke

The stock bores are not long enough to support the piston at bdc with more than 4"

Ls3 will have a bigger bore, a better block, longer sleeves and you would be crazy, oh and its 110lbs lighter

Default Ls3

I got an LS3 block and in the process of doing a 418 build, so my vote's for the LS3 418
