Default How much to take off for 1cc?

I know this has probably been covered a thousand times, but I've looked and looked and can't seem to find a definitive answer. Have a set of 799 heads, looking to get them down to 62cc's. I've heard to take off. 007 to lose 1cc and have found people saying a few other numbers as well, haven't talked to the machine shop that's going to freshen the motor up about yet as I just wanted to know for sure before I even dropped it off, thanks.

The number I've always heard and used is .006 per cc but that's really just a nominal number. It will vary from one head style to another. It's always best to pour the heads before and after milling. You can always flex a little using head gaskets or various thickness but that will affect the quish area.
