Default Lsx 376

Im looking to see if I can get around 600 whp out of an LSX 376 and wondering if i can do this with the stock bottom end and NA, would it be even possible to do? i know i can get it around 600 to the crank but would it just be easier and cheaper to go with a procharger or a regular superchrger setup? any ideas would be appreciated

You can but it would be on very borrowed time, afaik it still has hypereutectic pistons which will be the weak point of a 600hp boosted application.

yea a shot of nitrous would be fun haha this motor is actually a road race/ autocross motor so i may just stick with a head and cam set up for the time being and get some track time and see how it will handle and then go with some procharger or something down the road if needed

Are you talking about an LsX 376 crate motor?

LSX has forged pistons:

19244016- LSX376 Piston, 4.065" bore

Forged flat-top, no valve notches
Works with stock connecting rods only
Weight matched to stock LS3 piston weight
