Head gasket Part numbers L76 6.0 Recently i had to pull my head due to a defective lifter. I call up my local shop and ask them if they have the gasket,they say yes and i bring it home. Problem is the gasket that came off was a P/N 12610046 AND SAYS 6.0/6.2L on the gasket it self. The one i just brought home has a P/N of 12589226 and it looks like it says 5.3/5.7L.
So i call them up and he tells me that the #12589226 is what he sells for all of the LS motors. To me this just does not sound right. And does not even see the P/N 12610046.
