Default 4.125 bore 427 build

Decided to go with a 427 built on a ls7 block. I currently have a complete LS3 top end with the GMPP CNC LS3 heads. Is it worth it to upgrade to LS7 top end? Engine is going into a 69 Camaro with T56 trans. Goals are low end torque for a nice street driver type car. The LS7 heads will cost another $1500 over what I can get out of my current heads.

Also with the goals for the car in mind am I going to not like 2618 pistons? Seems like all the top brand pistons for LS motors are 2618. Based on what I've read on here they rattle a bit until the engine warms up. Do moly coated skirts help with this?

If your looking for low end torque I'd go with some cathedral style heads like the TFS 245's etc. 2618 pistons should be fine with your build and with the new technology with coatings today they greatly reduce the wear and tear so yes I could see the coatings helping a good bit.
