Default Steam vent question on LSA/LS9 heads

Was looking at my LS9 heads the other day and noticed that the rear steam vents are pluged up. Did a search and found nothing, except that the LSA heads are the same. I have a Kurt Urban 4 corner vent kit, and am puzzled as to why they would block the rears off? Any info or reason would be helpful gents. Thanks

Probably plugged since they were designed with large supercharger sitting where the intake would in mind and maybe no room to route them? IDK. My LS7 heads are also plugged though so who knows.

Is it just a tiny pressed in plug? Almost like a tiny freeze plug?

hmmm drill a little and back it out, use a shop vac... keep drilling a little and backing it out so no debris gets lodged in the small hole..

The jury is still out on whether venting them or plugging them does anything... that being said I am venting them just in case
