Default rebuild or swap new engine?

Ok guys I have a 2000 z28 camaro completely stock that I just bought 2 months ago. 2 days ago it just hit 130, 000 miles and was debating wether to rebuild the engine or buy another engine for it. I was wondering whats the pros and cons of rebuilding, and wether or not it would be worth it or should I just dig into the bank and buy another one...any input woild be useful

I have over 170k miles on my 1995 Z28 and it is still running strong. Most of the people that I have talked to say I will get over 200K. My advice is to wait for the availability of a used 2014 LT1. The 5.3 truck engine has 355 hp. The Corvette 6.2L base engine has 450 hp. First task is to remove the displacement on demand feature.

Then if I was to wait for the 2014 lt1 if I start doing mods like my exhaust and other bolt ons...they are going to be useless when I swap to the new one right?
