Default 404 ls stroker pistons wont clear reluctor wheel

Having trouble putting a 404 stroker together. The pistons are ross racing pistons. After making a few calls they said that three off the pistons are different for clearance. I found the three pistons that are slightly different and installed them in the number 8 cylinder to check and see if they would clear the reluctor. All of the pistons that i have tried are still hitting the reluctor wheel. Its a manley 4.00" crank and manley h beam 6.125" rods. Anybody run into a similar issue?

Thanks,
Pete

never heard of this issue but there should not be 3 pistons that need to be noched, can you take a picture of the notches? maybe they were not machined right or the pistons were not for a stroked engine

Usually, it's just #8 that needs a clearance notch...

What you do to one piston you should do to the other pistons to keep the correct balance.

Pretty sure piston mfg'ers have taken this into account when they built them...
