Lightbulb My Little Ls3 headed 370ci motor

So, I put together a 370ci motor. ended up with stock LS3 heads, stock Ls3 intake, bought a used cam off a member.. so needless to say, it was not a high dollar build, just a budget motor, with mostly used parts..

Motor has Wiseco 4.030 -3cc pistons, Compstar rods, ARP everything.

the cam I ended up with: 230/248 .613/.617 LSA 114+4

It is all in a M6 car with a 12 bolt with 3.73s

The car made 453hp/429tq on the dyno @ All Out Performance in Fresno, CA

I do not make power under 3600rpm.. It pulls like a freight train after that, all the way up to 7k. I am looking at options to get to that magic 500rwhp number on motor.

Tell me what yall think!!

Just to add, this has stock rockers, lifters, ls2 timing set. Heads are not milled, stock ls3 head gaskets.. so my compression ratio might be under 10:1, I haven't figured that yet.

Also the intake is a K&N FIPK, stock 78mm maf, and "foam-D-po" rubber 3"-4" coupler.. hehe..

So there are other things im sure I could change to make alittle more power..

Damn those are some nice numbers considering the combo. Based on my quick math and a .051 HG, you should be right at 10:1. Id think if you milled the heads .030 you should be right around 10.8-11:1 and could prob get another 20whp or so out of it from the comp bump alone, but if you plan to boost it down the road, itd be good to keep it at 10:1 if you want to stick with pump gas.

bump the compression and spec a cam for the combo.

Port the and mill the heads, port the intake and that should get you at your goal.

Ditch the MAF and toss on a ported 102 combo and you'll likely see another ~18-20whp peak

I had planned to turbo this combo, thinking twins, or a single s480, and try and hit 800rwhp.. but that is DOWN the road, but it was also my reason for buying the cam I ended up with, I figured the Exh duration will help when it comes to boost..

Do you think the little maf is restricting the airflow? I like running on a maf, just for personal tuning and drive-ability stuff. I might swap over to a 100mm card style setup.. but then I am ditching the intake setup, as it wont fit

Thanks for all the ideas.. keep it coming..

Also, any comments on the slight waves at the top end of the pull?? what causes that?

Valve float possibly. Did you have the LS3 valves or the solid stem valves?
