Default Looking for Cometic .040 head gaskets...

I am a little confused when looking for which set I need. Can someone assist? I seem to be looking for 4.00 in bore ones, but they are all smaller or larger. Wouldn't mind a little reasoning for the ones recommended as well. Thanks for any assistance.

You're not going to find exactly 4" bore gaskets, and you don't want them like that for a 4" bore cylinder. Even the OEM LS2 gaskets are 4.035", so depending on what heads you have you might have to go slightly bigger like 4.060 or 4.085

You should get one that is slightly bigger than 4.0"

As an example the LS1 folks use a 3.910" gasket even though the biggest bore they may have is 3.905" excluding resleeve of course.
