Best ls2 street race cam
Yes I know another one if these "best cam for ls2 threads" I'm sorry but I couldn't find the answers I was looking for
So I picked up a complete lq4 for 400$
And I bought some used ls2 rods and pistons.
I'm looking to make a iron ls2.
I have a few cam choices I've thought about running. Vrx5, vindicator or the ms3
I was wondering which cam would be the best for red light racing and occasional Friday night drag racing. And I'd like to make 450-500 whp, but still make power under the curve as you say.
The motor will be stock internal iron ls2, with a ported ls6 intake, ported and polished 243s that have had a 3 way valve job. I'm going to have compression around 11.5-1 and I play on spraying a 175 wet shot once in a blue moon.
I already have a 3k stall but I will consider going to a 3400-3600 when I got to my 4l80e. And 3.73s in a ford 8.8 rear end
I'm open to suggestions , and advice

You want to contact Martin Smallwood From Tick, Ed Curtis from Flowtech or someone else, to spec you a cam I would go with Martin he will get back to you quickly, and ask a bunch of questions, the more questions they ask usually the better they are. Like what rear gears you have what weight your car is other bolt ons?

Polluter V.2 (239/244 112lsa OR 111lsa)
SNS Stage 3 LS1/LS6 (235/243 111lsa)
SNS Stage 3 LS2 (235/239 112lsa)
I have a few custom grinds in this size range as well.
Depending on driving manners, driving style and where you want the power band will determine the final selection.

Sounds like it will be a fun build. If you want to give us a call we can go over a few possible cam choices with you.
