The generation IV Vortec 6000, is a V8 truck engine. It is a bored version of the Vortec5300. Displacement is 6.0 L (364 in³) from 101.6 mm bore and 92 mm stroke. It currently comes in two versions, the LY6 and L76. All Gen-IV 6.0L engines feature drive-by wire throttle control and may require the throttle pedal for the engine to run.
