Default cam selection question ?

I have an 09 Lmg 5.3 block in my truck, I have plans to turbo it's. And need help selecting a cam for the turbo, I believe the cam in the engine is a single bolt, how hard would it be to switch it over to 3 bolt? Sence im talking the time to take it out anyway, and want to change my cam gear and chain to a double roller

Not hard, just remove and replace.
Also, don't forget the three cam bolts you'll need(if it's a factory singe bolt).

My BAD, I overlooked the 09 Lmg.
Go with what coSPEED2 suggests!

Texas Speed can sell ya a LS2 chain and the 3 bolt cam gear then you won't have to shim the pump to clear the DR and grind the cover to clear the pump

The LMG looks to have active fuel management, so you will have quite a bit more to do than just a cam sprocket and bolts.
You will need new head gaskets, bolts, lifters, trays, and a new oil pump and valley cover.
Then you will need the aforementioned 3 bolt cam sprocket and bolts and possibly the timing chain tensioner. Some people also like to replace the front cover with the LS2/3 non vvt unit. IIRC the cam sensor is in roughly the same spot so you dont HAVE to, but the new cover comes with all new bolts, gakset and seal.
You def DO need to replace what I mentioned before. We can get you an entire package deal on all of it including a cam or a custom spec'd cam.
PS all the timing chains used on the LS engines, even VVT are the LS2 chain. There is no need to change it but again, you can if you want to.
You will either need the LS6 oil pump, or you can go with a nice melling high pressure unit, which we normally recommend.
And dont bother with a double roller. Single row HD sets work good enough if you want all new pieces.
