Default main journal size? and bearings

I was reading that the stock main journal size was 2.558"-2.559" and the block I was looking at is honed to 2.7507"-2.7517" so would I still use standard size bearings?

You'd have to put them in and check the clearance. You can't really determine what size bearings you'll need by just going off just the main bore size and main journal size, especially with .001" variance in the bores.

Who the hell hone the mains and couldn't keep the main bores within a couple tenths?
