Default Gauging interest in damper install tools...`

I got tired of looking for LSx damper install tools only to either not be happy with the quality or the price. Trying to gauge if there would be any interest in an install tool consisting of a 9" Grade 8.8 threaded rod, thrust bearing, 2 washers, and a nut- for about $35?

Default install tool

I'm on board but it would be even better with 10.9 grade if you could get it, I tried but could not even get 8.8 around here. Would the $35 cover shipping?

I can get 10.9 but I will need to contact my supplier to find out the availability on it.

Guys, went through this a while ago. I bought the rod, nuts etc….. with the idea of selling off the extra to recoup my costs. I only made 1 and it sold. I have plenty of left over rod/nutz.

There is NO need for a thrust bearing. I used a thrust bearing from a SBC bal instal tool to see if it was worth getting more to sell. I then retried installing it with two washers with a dab of grease between them. Did the washer/grease install AS EASY, no. But it was just about as smooth/easy. Not worth the hassle of digging it out of the case the holds the SBC installer tool.

Use a piece of pipe to space the nut away from the washer/balancer or thrust washer if used. This will allow you to use a box wrench. If you have access to a welder, you can throw a couple of tacks on and use a ratchet.
