help me pick my HCI LS1 replacement
So I am finishing up my BBC build project that has occupied my interest for the past few years and am starting to focus on a replacement engine for my T/A. It currently has your average HCI 346 that makes around 430 to the wheels. I am currently hitting it with a 150 shot with no problems, but I know that with the stock bottom end that it could go at any time.
So I am pretty much open to anything, and for the most part cost isn't a big factor. I am mostly concerned with making power and long term durability. So far I think my top choice is some sort of 408-418 stroker LS3 or LS7, but it seems to me that people claim that the LS7 block is a weak point.
Just FYI I do enjoy my nitrous and would like to have the option of running a bigger shot. 250+

Nope this will be a new build from scratch, so it will have new heads intake and cam. I would like to stay with a aluminum block for the simple fact of weight savings. If i did do a iron block I would more than likely do something with a LSX or RHS block.
