Default Do the OEM timing gear sets have adv/ret ground in?

Reason I ask is DOT TO DOT on my cloyes timing set doesn't come anywhere near matching the DOT TO DOT on the GM gear set (gen4) on the degree wheel.

Thanks

Not sure a pic would help in this case...

With the cam and crank gear lined up dot to dot. The intake valve opening point on the degree wheel varies widely between the OEM timing set and a cloyes timing set.

Per the cam card I should be at .5 ATDC

With the OEM gear set I'm 1* retarded (btdc) at my IVO point @ .050.

With the cloyes gear set I'm at 7* retarded (btdc) at my IVO point @ .050.

With my cloyes timing gear advanced 8* My IVO point @ .050 is 1-1.5* advanced. I'm ok with that, But this throws my Intake valve centerline angle way off at 106*.
