prc .675 eht broken valve spring?
I had a misfire in cylinder 1, so i replaced injectors and coil but it still didn't cure the misfire. I took the valve covers off and found out that 1 of the double springs was broken. The springs have roughly 200 miles but i was wondering why did it break so soon? Is this a common issue on these springs? I will be calling Texas Speed & Performance on monday morning to let them know about the situation.

Texas Speed and Custom have accommodated me every time by sending me replacements, however if another one goes I will ask them to replace the whole set. Hopefully it's just a bad batch. My pushrods are dead on, everything balance d. Lsx r7 cam. Ported stock ls7 heads, new valves. The works. all machine work done by Texas Speed

Yeah the OEM LS7 heads have a higher installed height if you just install the same parts on them as a regular LSx deal like a 243 or TFS235 etc. so may not be as much pressure as you think. I've had to run -.050 locks from PAC and some shims before to get everything back right as compared to a normal style LSx head.
