Default Btr slow leakdown rate lifters

Have they discontinued the Brian tooley racing slow leakdown rate lifters? I looked on the website and couldn't find them. If so what lifters are recommended?

They're not on the BTR website at all, so you'll need to call and find out if he has any remaining stock of them.

Yes, we have discontinued the Slow Leakdown Rate lifters. Even though we had less issues with our SLR lifters than we do with the Morel lifters, I'm still not comfortable selling something that may not be 100%.

Selling Slow Leakdown Rate lifters without a test stand to actually test every one is like selling springs without having a spring tester. It's actually worse since springs will very far less than lifters will. Very minute differences in plunger to lifter bore fitment can make for huge changes in actual leak down rate.

We do have an alternative to the lifters that we offered, we now have the Johnson Slow Leakdown Rate lifters. These are the same exact lifters being used in the COPO Camaro.

We stand behind what we sell, so don't worry, we haven't had a single failure. We just don't feel like the leak down rate is consistent enough.

99% don't have a issue, but the 1% is too high of an issue rate for me. Compare that to the almost 20% issue rate we have on Morel 5206 lifters for comparison sake...

So what are the better lifters to buy? I don't want top dollar since I'm on a slight budget.

Well that makes me feel better lol. I'm running them on a pretty big cam and spinning them pretty hard with 0 issues and they are by far the quietest ones I've had.

You should give the drop in Johnson SLR lifters a shot. Basically they're the same lifters that we were selling except with more consistent leakdown rates.

What lifters would you recommend in an LS7 with your 1207X springs, BTR trunion'd stock rockers, with a pretty aggressive cam. Mainly street cruising / racing duty

Id recommend the 5315 morels for just a drop in, which we have on a great deal right now, or if you want to step up to the tie bars, the morel streets are a great option.
