Default Who makes the best Boost Piston?

just picked up and L92 motor. plans are forged rods and pistons, redo the valvetrain. going to eventually run 18lbs of boost through it for a goal of 800rwhp. but for right now its going to be on low boost (5-7lbs). car is an E85 blow through setup with a D1SC Procharger.

Who makes the best boost piston?
what am i looking for?
looking to keep compression around 10.5:1

Diamond or Wiseco would be my preference but for the power you are looking for there are a ton of pistons on the market that can handle it. At that level it'll come down more to tune then the type of piston because detonation will kill just about any piston out there.

JE, Diamond, Wiseco, CP... They all make excellent pistons. choose something made from 2618 and not 4032.

quick question, and hopefully you don't think i'm a retard for asking... but a 4.070 piston for a 4.075 bore? or is a "4.075" piston actually more like 4.070 already and if i got a 4.070 piston i'd have like 0.010 clearance? sorry if that doesnt make sense...

Order a 4.070" piston for a 4.070" bore. The piston will be smaller in diameter by the clearance the manufacturer designs in, typically 0.004"-0.005" for forged pistons.
