I just turned my block upside down on the engine stand and drilled them out with a 11/32 drill and tapped them.No worries about getting metal shavings in the block this way.
I just have the Orings on the valley cover. Too late for me to drill and tap them. I think it should be fine.

I'm expecting the pushrod length checker to arrive today from Jegs.
Which pushrod brand are you guys using? Tapered 3/8"-7/16" or 5/16"-3/8", .135"wall, are probably the right thickness.

Manton ⅜" .120 wall going in my setup. Go as big as you can.

Almost 9" PR!? sheesh. You're running the small bore ls7 heads correct?

I'm running 11/16 .120 Mantons. I would definitely go with a 3/8 tapered minimum for yours. I'm unsure how much bigger you'd be able to go with the mast heads.

P.s. You make me want to sell my camaro and buy a 4th gen just so I can build a pretty motor like this. Great looking setup.

Get with tick and get a set of their Trend 5/16 - 3/8 dual tapered PRs.

Thanks guys. And yes, I'm running the MAST LS7 265 11*med.bore heads, and it's what MAST calls them. I suppose they are considered small bore LS7's in general.
I will get in touch with Martin@Tick and ask what he'll suggest Monday.
The pair of pushrod checker came in via Fedex from Jegs. I will start measuring tomorrow.

8.625 on my TFS 245s. At least you are planning good pr.

My pushrods will be long as **** too. Somewhere in the 8.500+ range. And I'll be going with Manton series 5 3/8 x .120 or .145 wall.

Surely with those MAST you have room for a full length 3/8 pushrod.

What lifers are you running?HR or SR? I'm running Morel 5425"s, and they are short, and sunked in there in the lifter bore. And add to that, the T&D shaftmounts sits pretty high.

Great, how is it? More power?
Mine is going to be a while since I'm practically starting from scratch. From an LT1 to an LS. I still need a new harness and ecu.

I should look into those Manton Series 5. The MAST pushrod holes are quite large to accommodate to maybe even 7/16".

When you call Manton Al will go over details of your engine and what kind of driving, rpm, etc. and he will tell you what you need. I didn't expect to need Series 5 but he said better safe than sorry and you don't want any deflection so that's why he recommended Series 5 for mine.

Thanks man. Any deflection is the last thing I need, and since this is also a solid roller.

My pushrods were only 7.100" in length with Trick Flow 220 porter's castings, LS3 block, T&D's, and Morel drop in solid roller lifters. In my app, 3/8" to 5/16" .135" wall dual taper was plenty of pushrod.

Interested to see the results of this build.

Well the push rod length checker I ordered was the wrong size. They sent me 8.800"-9.800". I wanted 7.800"-8.800". Or maybe I ordered it with the incorrect part numbers. I should have the right ones in a few days.
I checked it with the 8.800" checker right off the bat, and it's still a bit too long.
