LS376/525 Timing and AFR
Hello All,
I just did a conversion on my 1973 Camaro. Installed an LS376/525 with a cable driven throttle body and a Holley EFI. No modifications to the motor. I ran the Holley wizards on the EFI and have it running pretty good. What I'm hoping someone can tell me is what the timing and AFR should be set to.
Idle Timing:
Cruise Timing:
WOT Timing:
Idle AFR:
Cruise AFR:
WOT AFR:
The setup currently has tons of power and torque so I'm looking for middle of the road numbers. Not taking it to the track to race so I don't need aggressive setting s don't particularly want to run it lean but somewhere in the middle. I called the GM performance team and they did not have or want to share the setting but instead said that he cruise and connect packages are pre programmed so they didn't know the settings. I eventually want to dyno the car but would like to break it in slowly before I do that. It seems a dyno pull can be a little aggressive on new set up.
Does anyone have the settings I'm looking for?? Thanks

Reed all of my stuff is still in the boxes, I’m still collecting parts at this time. I hope to have a mock-up long-block in place to do headers in the next week or so! Keep in touch, I’m sure willing to share whatever I learn!

Thanks Al - what are you installing it in to?

That is going to be scary fast. Even with my heavier Camaro I think I probably do roughly half throttle and it feels like cutting loose. Lots of torque after 3000 RPM's. I'm a big cobra fan - can't wait to see some pics and vids. Automatic?

It's a Classic Roadsters 427 kit I have had for 10+ years. I didn't build it but have pretty much rebuilt it! It has a 388 SBC with a 700R-4 auto trans. It will have a T56 Super Magnum Six-Speed Manual Transmission!
