Default A little cam discussion

I have an lsx that i am building and am just trying nail down the final cam specs.
Lsx 4.185x4.125
TEA ported ls7 heads
Holley hiram with twin holley 850dp
Endurance jet boat application sustained WOT throttle 6000-6200
I am at .648/.648 253/259 112lsa right now just wondering if there is much left in a cam change. Was thinking going down 108 or 106 lsa but I think the heads are keeping the tq peak below 5600.
Thoughts?

Look at the engine masters setups. Which are 3000-6500 cams are 240/248 with tight LSA. Like 102 etc.
454 you might be able to run a little more duration. But yours might be a tad overkill.

Go have a play about on hotrod mag engine masters LS engine builds blog and see what you think

Ok let`s go at this a little different way.
The motor will run at 6000-6200 for periods of up to 25 min. That maximum amount of power that I can achieve at that rpm is what i am looking for in a super reliable valve train combo. The springs that are in it right now work great and a pac 1518 3131lb rate installed at 125 on the seat with a 236/246 .648.648 110lsa. Everything is very happy no wear or issues with that cam and spring setup.

Would like to go 260/275 .648/.648 108 lsa.

So will the extra duration effect how the spring handles the lift? If the valve closing to opening valve events are closer will the spring effectivelly see a different frequenzy?
